The series of International Conferences on Microreaction Technology (IMRET) started in 1997 with IMRET 1 being held in Frankfurt, Germany. Since that time sixteen IMRET conferences have been organized alternately in Europe, in North America, Asia, and Australia.

IMRET 17 took place from October 27-30, 2024, in Graz, Austria. Continuing the tradition, the conference featured plenary lectures, keynote and invited talks, as well as contributed oral presentations in parallel sessions and poster presentations. An exhibition showcased the latest advances in microreaction technologies and related fields. Optional excursions were also offered on Wednesday afternoon.

Undoubtedly, the field of microreaction technology has seen enormous advances over the past 25 years, with many new applications on the horizon.
